Good morning, world. Things are looking pretty good from the front porch of my farm in Virginia today. It was 43 degrees at sunrise so it looks a lot more like Spring than it feels…at least that’s the way it is today. I stepped outside to breathe in the day and to watch the Hand of the Master for just a few minutes, then I settled in with the Waymaker inside the warm house. I probably could have “predicted” the chill this morning if I’d relied on a newsmaker instead of my Way Maker for “news” but I know that the day will be what God intends for it to be and there’s no real Predicting His “next move.” So, I rely on the Way Maker to make a way each day and I Trust in the Good News instead of whatever nonsense is spoken by the newsmakers rallying to tickle my ears. His Promises are True and my Future is Secured – what other details could I possibly need to find my Joy and my Peace?

It’s far more entertaining to watch people clinging to the newsmakers that will tickle their ears than it could ever be to watch the news itself. These people cling to every word spoken by their “trusted news source” and they believe every word is gospel truth because it’s what they want to hear. Absolutely NO newsmaker cares about reporting the truth…they care about what sells. So they dig into the cesspool of life and come out with vile things they believe will entertain their flock. As a result, relying on newsmakers for our preferred version of the truth has managed to turn our world upside down in more ways than one, and yet, as long as ears are being tickled there will always be some distorted version of the truth to “report” and argue about…IF you tune in, that is.

It’s human nature to follow what feels good and it’s human nature to rely on what tickles the ears. It’s this very nature of the self-indulgent man that opens the doors to false prophets and false teaching. All a false prophet or teacher ever needs to do is to identify what tickles the ears of whoever is listening and when they do, the sheep will follow the wolf all the way to Hell just because the message tickled their ears. No need to tune in to the newsmakers you know and love, I’ll Share THE most important news headline for today and forevermore: There is a Waymaker that knows everything long before we do and no difference of opinion or “pushback” can change His mind. The Waymaker ordains all of our leaders so there’s no need to argue with each other over that – take it up with Him. The Waymaker doesn’t care about ratings because He’s Number One and off the charts and He always will be. Not only that, the Waymaker warns us about our “ratings” going down too IF we CHOOSE to Follow Him. He IS the Truth. He is the (GOOD) News. He’s got the WHOLE WORLD in His Hands. He doesn’t need a lame newsmaker to share His News, He needs Followers that are willing to be hated for His sake. He’s the ONLY way to Peace and Joy in this crazy mixed-up world AND He’s the ONLY Reliable Source of Information on the planet. Focusing on Him will light up the world…guaranteed.

I pick and choose what kind of information comes into my world because all I really care about is the Waymaker. If there is anything I need to be warned about, HE will warn me. IF I ever find myself in need of protection, I sure won’t rely on newsmakers to dish out what I need when I have the WAYMAKER guarding me 24/7. If there is any reason I need Wisdom, HE will give it to me. HE is my Protector. He is my Provider. He is MY WAYMAKER and His Word is the ONLY source of reliable news that ever was and ever will be….like it or not. His Promises are True and my Future is Secured – what other details could I possibly need to find my Joy and my Peace?
