How Far Will You Go To Please The God Of All Creation?

Good morning, world. Things are looking pretty good from the front porch of my farm in Virginia today. It’s a new day of a new week, and I’m ready for whatever He has for me after a good dose of Love and Wisdom this morning. More than anything else, I want to be Pleasing to the Creator of Life, and my biggest goal is to Serve Him. The Author and Perfector of Faith calls for us to “be holy as I am holy,” so this is serious business in the eyes of my God! Spiritual Success depends on the condition of my Character – A Character that can only be Fine-Tuned by the Hand of a Mighty God….and one that can only be Refined if I let Him do what He does best. It’s the condition of my Character that will open the doors to God-sized opportunities to Serve Him, and it’s the condition of my Character that will open my eyes to all that He has for me. My Character won’t be perfected on this side of Heaven, but if I want to Serve the One I love the most, every day is a Lesson in Character and a chance to be Refined. Isn’t that the way you see your Journey of Faith, too?

There once was a king of great Character by the name of Hezekiah, and the Bible says, “he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord” and he found the favor of God because of it. When Hezekiah became king, he went through his kingdom like a bull in a china closet, breaking idols and removing anything that was offensive to God. He didn’t tiptoe to please the people like so many kings would do…he only cared about pleasing God. Hezekiah trusted the Lord, and “there was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him”. Hezekiah was Faithful – “he held fast to the Lord and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses.” No doubt the Lord was pleased with Hezekiah and “he was successful in whatever he undertook” because of it. I want to be like Hezekiah. Willing to be a bull in a china closet, ready to take a stand against those things that go against my God with confidence and Courage. I want God to be SO pleased with my Character that He trusts me with more and more. I want to be successful in whatever I undertake. This is the Key to maturity in Faith.

The world is a troubled place, but nothing is too big for me as long as I have God leading the way…and as long as my Character is considered to be “worthy” in His eyes. I long for Him to use me, and I’m willing to do my part to be sure that He can. I’m a bold warrior for the Living God. A force to reckon with for the evil in this world. When I mention the name of Jesus Christ, every demon in Hell shudders, so I’ll be mentioning His name often today. “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in this world” – and because of this Truth, I’m unstoppable! I’m courageous because I’m Equipped with the Power to fend off the fiery darts as I set out to go against all the things that go against my God. My Character isn’t perfect…yet…But I work on it every day in His Name.

How about you?
